Rimmel Salon Pro: Hip Hop

Hello there again!

Today I have a nice, fun, bright coral polish to share - Rimmel Salon Pro's Hip Hop! I'm so over this cold, dreary weather. I'm ready for bright colors, sunshine, flip flops, and the ocean. Any time now. Really. Hip Hop is such a cheery color that makes me so happy! I'm pretty sure that I have this same color in about a dozen different brands but who cares. This girl can never have enough. Formula was as amazing as usual. Shown is two smooth coats.

Have a great day!

Nutra Nail: Rappin'

Hello again!

Oh, I love me a great old vintage green polish. So you imagine my excitement when I scored three vintage Nutra Nail polishes on eBay! I don't think I have any other Nutra Nail polishes, but I love the edgy colors and the metallic finishes. Rappin' is a AWFUL name for this polish. I MEAN AWFUL. But I really do enjoy the polish quite a bit. It's a very vibrant, bright green! Formula was really thin, so shown is three coats. It did have quite a bit of brush strokes but with these older polishes they really don't bother me one bit. It comes with the territory when you collect vintage polish!

 Have a great weekend!

Revlon Parfumerie: Ginger Melon

Hello!

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far! Another drugstore polish range that I'm OBSESSED with is from Revlon, and it's Ginger Melon from their Parfumerie line. Just like the Rimmel Salon Pro polishes, I love everything about them and I have already raved enough in the past. I think I have over at least ten in my stash so far. Anyway, I love this color! I'm getting really excited for spring, and this polish just makes me more excited! I'm not big on pastel colors, but I do love me a great coral polish for the warmer months! Shown is two coats.

See you later!

Rimmel Salon Pro: Barmy Blue

Good Evening!

Today I have a quick NOTD to share, and it's one of Rimmel's Salon Pro polishes - Barmy Blue. I have a SERIOUS addiction to these polishes. I've already raved a thousand times, so I'll save you having to listen again. But I LOVE THEM. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Barmy blue is a really fun color. A vibrant hybrid of a cobalt and navy blue and it's just stunning. The fomula had a jelly feel to it, so I used three thin coats shown here. I'm wearing it now and I just enjoy this color so much. It's a great transitional shade from winter to spring!

Have a great night!

Spectacular: Dancing Queen

Me meet again!

I love my polish friends. In my four years in the polish world they've come and gone and changed for sure, but my vintage polish friends are one of a kind! It's such a rare, unique, and patient hobby to have that we band together and help each other out when we can. Recently my lovely pal Hannah of Polly Polish sent me the most amazing parcel chalk full of Spectacular polishes! I NEVER thought I would own ANY let alone SIX! Seriously, they're all to die for. I can't wait to finish swatching them. Thanks again, Hannah! YOU DA BEST!

First up to share I have Dancing Queen. HUBBA. HUBBA. HUBBA. I love these purples. I own so many yet will never have enough. Pink and red in undertones, it just glows on the nails in a way that just makes me giddy. Didn't need any thinner for this one, this is three very thin coats shown. SUCH A BEAUT!

Have a great day everyone!

Hard Candy: Moody

Hello again!

Today I have a nice little vintage Hard Candy polish to share, Moody! I've been on the hunt for more and more vintage HC's lately, and this is one of my most recent. Moody isn't exactly the greatest polish for my skin tone. It's a shimmery, dusty taupe color that seriously washes me out. All of that aside, it really is a pretty color! Just far, far too cool for my fair skin. I do wish that the ring it came with wasn't a clear! Picky, I know. But hey, as a vintage polish collector it's all about the details!

Have a great day!

Nails Inc: Disco Lane

Hello there and happy hump day!

I hope you're all having a great week. I was off all day. Saw my personal trainer, did some laundry, and did a few swatches. I've been on the healthy bandwagon again, and I've been trying to be the strongest version of myself I can be! It's such hard work I tell you! Being a lazy couch potato just wasn't cutting it anymore!

Anyhoo, today I have a Nails Inc polish to share, Disco Lane. I love Nails Inc polishes. They have such a great variety and they always seem to have new polishes to offer. If you're around a TJMaxx, they have them for $2.99 a pop! They didn't have any that I already don't own, but if you're in the market I would run up there! Disco Lane is a black holo polish, and I LOVE these kinds of polish! From afar they just look like a plain black creme, but when you get close or the light shines on my nails, it's extra special! These is two coats.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Essie: Sand Tropez

Hi there!

I love nudes. The polishes, that is. LOVE THEM. I used to never enjoy them, I thought they were boring. Now I think they are classic, timeless, and elegant. It's hard to find the right shades of nudes though. They tend to wash me out, make my skin look pink or yellow, or give me mannequin hands. Sand Tropez might just be the most perfect one I've found yet! It's freaking GORGEOUS! It's turned into one of my go to every day polishes. This is two coats of perfection in a bottle!

See you next time!

Maybelline Express Finish: Bronze Beam

Good morning!

I hope you're all having a great day so far. Today I thought I would bring out one of my vintage Maybelline gold cap polishes, Bronze Beam. I didn't honestly remember AT ALL that I had this one until I saw it again in my Helmer. Shopping the stash, people! I actually don't think that I have too many gold caps that I haven't swatched over the years. Bronze Beam is gorgeous, yet not at all entirely unique. A golden, bronze shimmery glitter hybrid - it's beautiful none the less. I tend to LOATH the formula and brush on these old gold caps. I swear, the brush is always wonky and the formula always needs thinner. It was worth it! This is two coats.

Hope you have a beautiful day!

L'Oreal Perfection Laquiresist: Cyprus Blue

Good afternoon!

Today I have a fun little vintage L'Oreal polish to share today, Cyprus Blue. I think this was a gift from my lovely pal Jacqui a few years back if I remember correctly! I have a sizable collection for L'Oreal polishes, some of the colors are truly unique. Cyprus Blue is one of them! A great deepened teal creme polish with a nice, warm tone to it. For the age is has on it, the formula was still really amazing on this one. Opaque after just one coat, and nice and smooth. I was impressed. I thought I would have needed thinner for sure. I love this color. I think it would be beautiful with a nice gold or bronze glitter on top!

Have a great day!

Hard Candy: Mischief

Allo!

I hope you're all having a great day so far! If you know anything about me, you know that my obsession for vintage Hard Candy polishes run deep. Wish I had more, always want more, will never have enough. Back when they re-released their cheaper, crappy-er line at Walmart years back, I want cray and bought pretty much every color. Once they hype wore off and I realized in general that my beloved HC turned to cheap crap and will never be the same again, I sold all but two. They've since then changed bottles for the worse once more and I haven't bought any since. I'm happy searching the world for the 90's gems, thank you very much.

One of the two that I saved was Mischief. I love this one mostly because it reminds me of Halloween in a bottle! It had a black, smoky base loaded with vibrant orange glitter. The pics really don't do the brightness of the orange justice! This is two coats over a deep bronze polish.

Enjoy your day!

Rimmel Salon Pro: Saturn

Hello there!

I love Rimmel. In general. I love their matte powders, blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses, EVERYTHING. So naturally, I love their polishes. Vintage and new alike. The new line they've come out within the past year or so - Salon Pro - is one of my favorite polish lines out there. They just work for me! The brushes, formula, it all. So much so that I think I now have over a dozen. The moment I saw the swatches for the new Kate Planets Collection on my girl Hannah's blog HERE, I knew I needed at least three of them. The first that caught my eye is the gem I have to share today, Saturn!

Saturn is seriously flipping AMAZEBALLS! AH-MAZE-BALLS! I know I have few colors like this in my collection, but I can't pin point them right now. WHO CARES WHEN IT'S THIS BEAUTIFUL. Saturn is a shimmery velvet golden olive green masterpiece. I only needed two buttery smooth coats and this wore like iron on me for about five days chip free. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. You will too. Go buy this. NOW.

Did you leave to go buy this yet? GO!

Quick NOTD - Hard Candy: Haze

Hello there, we meet again!

Lately I've been hitting the jackpot with vintage polish. eBay, Ecrater, you name it, things have just been popping up left and right! If you're a vintage polish collector like myself, you know how these things go. Things come in waves. One minute there will be a drought, the next it's a field day out there! I'm riding this wave as long as I can!

I recently bought two lots of Hard Candy polishes on eBay for a STEAL, and one of them is this 90's gem I have today, Haze. Frosty? CHECK! Streaky? CHECK! Pastel purple? CHECK! This is one of those quintessential polishes that you know we ALL had when we were in middle school! Will I ever actually wear this? Well, no. But it will get happily tucked away with my collections of vintage Hard Candy polishes and be loved of all its days. This is three coats of watery, frosty goodness hot mess.

Have a great day!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy: Wild Card

Hello again!

Today I have a great blue polish to share, one of the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy polishes - Wild Card. I LOVE these polishes so much! They apply opaque at one coat, the formula is nice and smooth, and they wear really well on me. I think I have about four of them, but this one might very well be my favorite! Wild Card is a very close dupe for Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. (although I don't own that one to do a comparison.) I love these types of blues that really pop, they are great colors for all seasons as well in my opinion! This is two coats shown. LOVE this one!

Have a nice day, ladies!

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails: Radar

Happy Hump Day!

I finally got to sit down and get some good swatching and blogging done today! It feels so good sometimes to sit down and relax and have some quality time for yourself! (While watching Netflix, of course. DUH.) At some point I guess I should shower and try to look human again, but we're not quite there yet.

Today I have one of the many of these Sally Hansen Limited Edition Sally's that I own, Radar. I love these polishes, they're all milky unique/fugly colors with holo glitter. AKA, right up my alley! Radar is definitely one of those fugly kind of colors, it's a maroon/chocolate brown sort of color. I really wasn't sure at first what kind of color I should go with to layer this over, so I ended up using two coats over Urban Decay Brick House. Most of the glitter was stuck on the side of the bottle with time, but I was able to get enough on the nail. I can say I have nothing else like this in my collection!

Enjoy your day!
