Pretty Serious: Swatch and Learn

Hello again!

Today I have another Pretty Serious Cosmetics polish to share from their newly released Stop! Collaborate Collection, Swatch and Learn!

When I first got into blogging and polish over three years ago (I can't believe it's been that long!) Mary over at Swatch and Learn was one of the very bloggers that I first got into, and let me just tell you. She is one of the sweetest girls EVER in the nail community. She has never slowed down on the blogging as well, which is so impressive! I love her creation! Swatch and Learn is such a crazy, complex polish that is just so HARD to photograph correctly! It's green with flashes of pink then gold depending on the lighting. Application was buttery smooth and perfect. This is two coats.

Have a great day!

Pretty Serious: Undercover Mermaid & Crystal Coat

TGIF, ladies!

Today I have a very special post to start off the weekend right, two polishes from the ever so amazing Pretty Serious! I think it's so awesome that Kaz and Ben are giving bloggers a chance to pour their love for polish and creative juices into their own little piece of polish makin' history! Stop! Collaborate And Listen is a STUNNING trio of polishes, and I thought I'd start off by reviewing the creation from the lovely Lab Muffin

Now I make it no secret that I fall head over heels for neutral shades sometimes as much as I do for every funky, crazy, glitter shade out there as well. The moment I unboxed this one, I knew it had to get on my nails right away. Undercover Mermaid is a dusty lavender/grey jelly with subtle iridescent flakes swimming within. I LOVE the idea that she had when creating this polish to make a work friendly color. And she NAILED IT. I adore jelly polishes, I love how squishy they look. :) The formula on this was perfect and applied like buttah. This is thre coats, and I used flash to show off the lavender unertones and those pretty flakes!

I've been dying to try out new top coats lately (Seche Vite has been my go-to for years, but I swear as time goes by those bottles get thicker faster and faster. Pain in the butt. Just sayin'.) so of course I jumped at the chance to check out their Crystal Coat polish! I love that it adds this wet look and feel to the polish, almost like a gel manicure! Dry time was a really nice as well, not lightening speed, but up there for sure! I'll be able to comment a bit more once I see how it wears with time. First impression though? Impressed. FO SHO.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend, and I'll see you soon to review the other two polishes from the Stop! Collaborate And Listen collection!

Super quick NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie - Lime Basil

Happy Monday, everyone!

I hope you're all off to a good start to the week! Today was my day off so I've been vegging out, doing laundry, and relaxing! I had the busiest weekend so it's just nice to chill out.

Today I have a polish from one of my favorite polish lines out there right now, Revlon's Parfumerie nail polish in Lime Basil. I love these polishes so much - the colors are great, the formula is perfection, and they wear like iron on me. This one smells really great too - very citrus-y! Shown is two coats.

Have a great day!

Vintage Blogging Beauties: Most prized!

Hello lovelies!

I have a crazy, crazy busy weekend and I'm squeezing in this post between running errands and all of my plans this evening! (My nails are still drying as I type this, I'm BRAVE!) Sometimes I feel like I have tons and tons of time to give to swatching and blogging, and other times (like lately) I feel like I have no time to even paint my nails at all! Enough blabbering, onto the post!

Today is the second post that we're doing for the Vintage Blogging Beauties post! Today was ridiculously hard. It was most prized. 99.99% of my polish collection is prized to me, and many of them are very, very rare! So I decided to go with the most current prized polish I recently acquired, CHINA GLAZE MOONPOOL! I've been lemming for this polish for literally three years. THREE. I had a pal tip me off that one popped up on eBay, and the rest is history! China Glaze is this molten, lime green, golden metallic amazing goodness. That makes sense, right? RIGHT. This is two coats of a polish I still can't believe I own!

Don't forget to check out Kaz and Hannah's posts as well!

Vintge Bath & Body Work Color Drops: Clover

Hello there, everyone!

I hope you're all having a swell week and that you have fun plans for this Fourth Of July weekend! I live in Virginia Beach. There's a tropical storm/hurricane warning/getting our asses handed to us by rain thing happening here, so what WAS going to be a cookout/fireworks sort of weekend is now a hurricane party weekend instead. What a bummer. We're so spoiled with nice weather here though I really can't complain too much. Except I am. What is a girl to do? NOTHING. So I'll just blab on about the polish.

It's really no secret how much I adore and cherish my vintage Bath and Body Works Color Drops nail polishes. I LOVED them as a kid and I'm having a blast recollecting them all as an adult. I have some REALLY awesome ones to share with you in the future! I love really one of these forest green/golden shimmer vintage polishes. I need them ALL! This is two watery coats of vintage goodness.

Be safe this weekend!
