BYS - Peppermint

TGIF!

Happy Friday, dolls! Anyone have anything fun planned this weekend? I'm working a few short shifts, putting up our Christmas tree, going to a football party. Christmas time is my favorite time of the year! Today I have another great BYS polish to share, Peppermint. The ever-so-amazing Lani sent me this one, and I LOVE IT! Is it supposed to smell like Peppermint? Hmmmm.... I didn't let it dry long enough while swatching, so I'm really not sure!

Peppermint is a sheer light green glitter polish with holo glitter swimming within. This is one of those strictly layering glitters, this is two coats over Fetish Sci-Fi. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I ADORE BYS glitters. I need them all. ALL!

Have a fun Friday!

Pretty Serious Cosmetics - Emma Louise

WHAT UP, LADIES?!

I hope you're all having a good week! Today I'm only working eight ours (not my normal ten!) so I'll take what I can get! Today I have another polish from Pretty Serious to share, Emma Louise. Kaz named this polish after her pal Emma who designed this bad boy! $5 a bottle will go to Cancer Council NSW (Australia) after the LE 300 bottles are sold. Beautiful polish for a beautiful cause! OMG OMG OMG Emma Louise is so awesome! As of now there's still a few left - if you don't have it GO NOW!

This gem of a polish starts off with a purple sheer base, loaded with purple micro glitter, and thrown into the mix is green and purple hex glitter. I knew from the moment I saw promo pics I would be in love and I was RIGHT! Formula was sheer perfection, this is three thin coats.

Make sure to pick this gem up!

Chanel - Gold Lame

Happy Hump Day!

Today I have a Chanel to share - Gold Lame. I can count my Chanel's on both hands, but I really love their polishes! (HELLO, LUNA!) This, ladies and well....ladies, is an example of LOOK UP SWATCHES BEFORE YOU BUY! I bought this from a blog sale over the summer, and I'm not sure I would have dropped the 17 bucks if I had done so. Ah well.

Gold Lame is from Chanel's 2010 Noir et Or Collection. (Think Black Satin &  Illusion d'Or Le Vernis.) I don't hate this blonde gold polish, I just don't like it with my skin-tone. At all. I think it would be MUCH prettier on someone with darker skin! I'm also not crazy about the brush strokes. On the plus size, I do love the festive feel of this polish. Reminds me of a holiday party! This is two coats.

Pretty, just not for me.

LA Colors: Color Craze - Candy Sprinkles

Hey there!

Today is everyone else's Tuesday, but today is my Monday! I had a nice long five day weekend! I spend all day yesterday relaxing, catching up with my DVR, and swatching.

Although I try not to buy too much polish these days, I feel no guilt when it's a Dollar store find! One of the local stores back in Ohio carry LA Colors, and when I saw the new display and this polish on there - I jumped for joy! Candy Sprinkles is a polish you NEVER see in the dollar polish variety - so I was so shocked! There were only two bottles left - if you're my Secret Santa coming up here - you'll be getting the second. :P Candy Sprinkles is in the Claire's Deborah Lippman Candy Shop class - bubble gum pink jelly polish with with rainbow various-sized glitter. AKA GLITTER SAMMICH! I was impressed with the formula - nice n smooth! To give it the right layered feel, this is three thin coats. So awesome. And a buck. YESSS.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

China Glaze - Blue Bells Ring

Hey there! I'm back!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We drove back to Ohio to spend a few days with family and friends. We ate a lot, drove a lot, and had lots of laughs - it was perfect! :)

Today I have a polish to share from China Glaze's Holiday Joy Collection from this winter - Blue Bells Ring. I want so many polishes from this collection (THOSE GLITTERS!) but I'm trying to cut down on polish shopping so I can do Christmas shopping and Secret Santa's. The moment I saw this VIBRANT metallic blue masterpiece, I knew I had to make an exception. This blue is so intense and in your face - pictures don't do it enough justice! It must be seen in person! It was pretty much perfect after one coat, but I used two. So pretty!

Have a great Monday! <3

BYS - Black & Gold and I'm taking a small vacation

Hi there!

Jeff and I are leaving to drive home to Ohio for Thanksgiving tonight, and I've been to busy to write blogs posts for while I'm away. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday! I'll see you all Monday!

Time for another new BYS to share - Black & Gold. This is another gem that the ever-so-amazing Lani sent my way - thanks for knocking one off my BYS wish list, girl! <3 I love the amazing girls I've met through polish, some of the sweetest out there!

Black & Gold. Where. To. Start. I'm too busy drooling over this polish to put it into thoughts LOL! :D I mentioned in my last BYS post how fantastic their glitters are - this is another shining example! Black & Gold is a black-based polish with irregular gold glitter. What makes this polish so amazing is a combination of a few things - first off the base. I love this black base because it's sheer enough to let the gold glitter shine on through, but dark enough to be opaque in only two coats, shown here. Secondly - the warm tone to the gold glitter - so unique! Formula was spot-on. I seriously cannot express my love enough for this polish.

What do ya think, ladies?!

Mode - Kiss And Tell

Good morning!

Who's ready for more Mode glitter goodness?! YOU ARE?! You're in the right place, then! I've fallen in love with Mode and BYS polishes, so you're going to be seeing A LOT of them in my upcoming posts! The lovely Lani sent me this lovely polish in our most recent swaps, it screams Christmas to me so of COURSE I had to put it on my nails RIGHT AWAY!

The great thing about these glitters that Mode makes is that fact that the glitter is in fact tiny shards of glitter - little itty-bitty bar glitters! Kiss And Tell starts off with a cherry, tomato red base, and is positively LOADED with red, silver, & pink glitter. It's so festive and fun - like red Christmas lights on my nails! This is two coats over China Glaze's Thunderbird. (FYI - I'll have to re-swatch Thunderbird - my pics turned out awful. :/ )

Have a great day!

BYS - Down The Rabbit Hole from The Wonderland Collection

Hello again!

I am totally in love with BYS. Seriously and completely. Their glitters are to DIE FOR. Their brush is easy as can be to work with, their formulas are perfect. Their polishes can be on the stinky side, but I'll take it and zip my mouth shut for glitters like this beaut! From the moment I laid eyes on BYS's Wonderland collection, I knew they all had to be mine. I finally have all 3 and for this polish I give a big thank you to Lauren! <3 You're the best, girl! You can check out my swatches of Through The Looking Glass HERE

Down The Rabbit Hole is soooo awesome! Smoky black jelly loaded with holo glitter?! YES, PLEASE! I love the depth you get with this polish, it looks like a little galaxy on my nails! Some of my pics are slightly blurry, I'm going to act sly and say it's to show off the holo goodness. :P This is three coats. LOVE! One of my all-time favorite scattered holos.

BYS, do the damn thing.
Last but not least I have Adventures Of Alice to share ;)

Mode - Vicious Venom

HI!

Oh, Mode. You are officially one of my new all-time favorite polishes EVER. You rock so much. Their color range, finish range, and quality are outstanding. Thank goodness for my two international swapping pals, Lani and Lauren. They are the BEST pals a girl could ask for and I'm so grateful to have them as friends. <3 Why do I mention them both may I ask? They both know me so well and my love for green and glitter that they both sent me a bottle of Vicious Venom! :D Thank you both, loves!

Vicious Venom is just freaking amazing in every single way. Smooth formula (a little gritty, but Gelous made it nice and smooth), great green color for both the base and glitter, and I love how the silver glitter adds dimension as well. This is two coats of awesome.

Have a fun day!

China Glaze - Blk-Bila-Bong

Good morning!

Today I have a China Glaze that has just been sitting in my China Glaze Helmer drawer since I bought it dusty hunting this summer - Blk-Bila-Bong. This deep sapphire bad boy came out in the summer 2007 Surf collection. I wasn't all too crazy about the formula, it took three coats to even out the patchiness, but BOY was it worth it! I love the teal shimmer that shines through it's deep sapphire base - it peaks through in such a beautiful way!

Have a great day!

Afterthoughts Attitudes - Sun Kiss

Hey there!

For those of you ladies my age who grew up in the 90's, before there was Claire's at the mall, there was Afterthoughts! They had scrunchies, bubblegum flavored lip gloss, and of course nail polish! It has been my goal to collect as many as I can (only three so far..... :p ) for the pure reason of nostalgia! Today I have a glitter to share, Sun Kiss. They had a few different polish lines that I remember, and this one is from their Attitudes line.

Why on earth you would name a silver glitter polish Sun Kiss - I just do not  know. But WHO CARES with a bright, sparkling silver like this?! It reminds me of Christmas and icicles! I had to add some thinner to this vintage gem to make it smooth. I have one more glitter from this line, and I NEED MOAR! This is two coats over Artmatic Renegade.

Anyone else remember these?
