Pretty Serious Cosmetics - VT100

Hey ladies!

It may be Thursday to all of you, but it's Friday for me since I have a three day weekend!!! :P Aggghhh... I feel excited and nervous for today's post- it marks the beginning of my swatching the entire Pretty Serious collection, the brain-child of Pretty Random's Kaz. Kaz is a hilarious gal with a blog that is pretty much a massive wish list for me. After I fell in love with polish and started blogging, I discovered my love for vintage through her blog. She was and still is a huge inspiration for me and such a sweet girl! Kaz, I hope I do your polishes justice!

Now before I get started, I think I'll be posting them every other day so I can get some full mani wear time in between posting. :) First up I have VT100, this is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! We all know how much I love green polish, make it glitter?! Awww maaaan I'm grinnin' from ear to ear! The moment I pulled this baby out of it's box, it reminded me of Christmas. That perfect, sparkling, happy green. The formula was wonderful, almost of one-coater. This is two coats. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

I mean, COME ON! FREAKING AMAZING!!!

You just wait, more Pretty Serious swatches to come!

The Polish Sage - Winchester Collection - Sam's Soul

Hello ladies!

I keep it no secret how big of a Supernatural fan I am, so any polish based on the show is a must to me! (Can you believe  the season finale?! OMG!)
Today I have yet another indie Etsy polish to share, from The Polish Sage. She offers I believe a total of eight polishes in the Winchester collection, although some are sold out as of now. She also has an extensive Harry Potter collection - check it out! Today I have Sam's Soul from the Winchester collection, a fantastic white shimmer polish with blue undertones. What really makes this polish special is that is dries quickly to a satin finish! This is two smooth coats with no topcoat. Does Sam's Soul justice! :P

Shimmah!
What do ya think, girls?

Old and New - Avon Color Last Earth Angel & Revlon Dreamer

Hey there!

Today is another Old and New post! For the Old section I have a polish gifted to me by my Twitter pal Minnie. You're the sweetest, girl! Thank you! I LOVE old Avons and this one really dates back! (15 years I'm guessing?) Earth Angel has a thinner formula as most older polishes tend to have, so this is three coats. Oh man I LOVE this polish! A dusty lavender polish with a dusty pink shimmer. It's just awesome.

For the New section I have one of the few new Revlon polishes I settled on buying, Dreamer. I'm not big on creme polishes, but this one was such a summery shade of sky blue, I couldn't resist. This is two coats for evenness. Very pretty!

Have a great day!

New Aussie brands! Chi Chi Get Down & Boogie and Face Of Australia Barbados Let's Go Scuba Diving

Good Morning!

In spite of a very aggravating week (I got rear-ended eleven days ago. My neck and head have been hurting me and the other insurance is dicking me around. GRRR >:/ ) I had an enormous nail mail day! Among the many  packages and boxes was a very special one from my new and most amazing friend Lauren from Australia. She has become a great pal of mine and I've been sent the most amazing Aussie brands that are new to me!

First off I have a Chi Chi polish to share - Get Down & Boogie. OHH. MYY. GAWDD. Amazing blue, I need a gallon of you! Get Down & Boogie is a GLOWING (I mean GLOWING!) vibrant blue polish with heavy, crazy shimmer. I'm in love beyond words. O_O Two coats. Great Formula. I need more Chi Chi in my life.

Next up I have yep, another new brand with an amazing polish to share! This time It's Face Of Australia, and I have Let's Go Scuba Diving is from their Barbados collection. I'm blown away again! Actually this whole collection looks freakin amazing - check it out HERE. The formula on this was phenomenal. I'm talking A England, paints-your-nails-for-ya smooth. I was left beyond impressed! Let's Go Scuba Diving is a teal polish with teal and blue shimmer. I choose to do three thin coats. Once again, I need MORE Face Of Australia polishes. :D

What do ya think? :P

The Spooky Bones Company- Strange Polish - 7 of 9

ALLO!

Today is day two of The Spooky Bones Company's Star Trek polishes that I purchased. Star Trek: Voyager is hands down, bar-none my favorite Star Trek EVER! Seven of Nine is a charactor on the show that was born human, assimilated by and raised by the Borg until she was freed and joined the crew of Voyager. She's sexy and hilarious in my opinion. Do the damn thing, Jeri Ryan.

Onto the polish! 7 of 9 is an amazingly beautiful pain-in-my-butt polish. I think I need one more go with the polish to get it 100% right. Anyhoo, the bottle brush is really long and glops of polish keep creeping onto the nail. The base of the polish is a really gorgeous iridescent pearl shimmer. Added is micro-fine and small holo glitter, blue and white moons, and black, blue, and green stars. The moons and stars were hard to lay down so they just kind of stuck up. I say who cares when it looks so nice? It does glow it the dark but alas, I couldn't capture it in pictures. Two coats over two coats Revlon Dreamer.

Fun, right?
Anyone else a Trekie? :)

The Spooky Bones Company - Deep Space Fine

Hey there!

Today and tomorrow I have two polishes to share from the Etsy shop The Spooky Bones Company.  I've bought from Amanda in the past, and my transactions with her are nothing short of amazing! Fast shipping, great communication, and she included a free mini both times I ordered from her. My freebie this time around is Deep Space Fine. I LOVE how her current polish collections are based off of Star Trek. I grew up with a Trekie family indeed. Star Trek Deep Space Nine is my dad's all-time favorite series, and this polish really does it justice! Deep Space Fine starts off with a deep, dark purple base. Added in the mix is purple and blue hex glitter, micro glitter, and thin holo bar glitter. I love the effect of this polish, I just wish it had translated better to the nail. Deep Space look for sure! Two coats with one coat Gelous.

Deep Space indeed!

Essie Ruby Slippers

Happy Friday!

Today I have a very, very special VHTF polish, Essie's Ruby Slippers, biiiitches! :D I've been trying to cut back on buying from Etsy and new collections and am focusing on my wish list and HTF gems I've been lemming. So far I've been doing.... better. LOL! I have so many polishes still sitting in my Helmer and tubs that I haven't even swatched yet. Time to catch up!

Let's focus on this beauty. More then worth all it's hype. It's everything I dreamed it would be and more! Where oh where do I even start? :) Red based polish LOADED with red glitter and sparse gold glitter. The way this glitters, my jaw hit the floor when it saw the sun. I have A LOT of red glitters and not one of them compare. Simply amazing. This is two coats, with one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite. (This glitter's a thirsty one!)

GLITTAH!
Any one else drooling? O_O

Old and New - Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds Jewel's N' Berries & OPI Princesses Rule!

Hey polish lovahs!

Today's another Old and New post! I'm starting off with a Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds polish, Jewel's N' Berries. I have a few from this line and I've always wanted more. This is where the lovely Lauren swoops in! She included this beauty in our recent swap. Did I mention yet she's the best? Jewel's N' Berries is a deep magenta polish LOADED with shimmer and micro glitter. Just gorgeous. Formula was still nice and smooth with time. Final verdict? I need more Wet Shine Diamonds.  Lots more.

Weird things happen as a polish lover. I normally fall head over heals for anything strange colored, vampy, green, or glittery. As of late, I've been craving delicate shades. After I read Scrangie's post on OPI's Princess Charming collection, I decided I need them all. A blogger pal had a blog sale & I came across Princesses Rule! *jaw hits the floor* It's such a perfect pink crystallic sheer polish. I love how it catches shades of silver and almost blue in some light. This is four coats and worth every one! This may very well be one of my favorite OPI's. Now the search continues for the rest. :P

Impressed? :)

China Glaze - Out On Safari

Good Mornin!

Today I have a polish to share that I was so excited to check off my never ending, always growing wishlist - China Glaze's Out On Safari. I have been drooling over this polish ever since I saw it as a nail newbie, but the few times I saw it pop up on eBay the price was just too rich for my blood. Thank goodness I found this bad boy on a blog sale for ten bucks! Out On Safari is a dusty, dirty olive green polish with a glowing green shimmer glowing within. Oh my goodness I'm in love! Please excuse the bubbles on all but the pointer finger, I'm not sure what was up with my topcoat, but it really hated me when I wore this as a full mani. Two coats.

What do ya think? :P
