Pink Wednesday! SpaRitual - Airhead

Happy Pink Wednesday!

I feel like I'm either always forgetting Pink Wednesday or my post set up isn't pink. Oh well, I'm trying to get better at that. Today I have for you my first SpaRitual polish, Airhead!

I'm still working on loving pink. To be honest, before becoming a blogger and polish-addict, I always stuck to funky/dark colors. Since diving head first into the world of polish, I'm really starting to love pink more and more! I'm a real sucker for sheer, watery pinks. This one I got through a blog sale and I love that it almost has a jelly finish to it. Such a classy polish! Three coats.

I've personally never seen SpaRitual sold anywhere that I can remember, but you can locate where to buy through their web page www.sparitual.com

Kleancolor - Holo Chrome

Good morning!

This morning I have for you one of Kleancolor's holo polishes, Holo Chrome. I was a little bit on the fence with these polishes due to the smell/fumes issues I'd read about on other blogs. On some I'd actually read that the fumes made bloggers dizzy! Alas, the results I'd seen were so stunning, I had to try one. Can't deny, I'm glad I did.

HC is a stunning bright violet jelly holo PACKED to the brim with fine holo glitter, I loved it! It tried it at first on it's own and I was definitely meant to be layer. I applied a bright purple polish underneath and it was perfect! Now for the smell. It really reeked. Not enough to make me dizzy, but enough that I couldn't keep my face too close. :/ Oh, well, result well worth the sacrifice!

Kleancolor holos & polishes can be purchased online at either http://www.kleancolor.com/ or http://www.beautyjoint.com/ They range from $1.75-$3.49/bottle

Orly - Fresh

Hey ladies! Happy Monday! Can't believe it's here already....

I am soooooo excited about the polish I have for you today! Lime/bright greens are one of my favorites! Finding one I really enjoy has been tricking. Quite a few fails in the past. I am so in love with Fresh! It came out in the Happy Go Lucky collection, and after seeing it on blogs, I finally found it at Sally Beauty Supply!

Fresh is a lime green creme polish that applied really great! I think Fresh is the perfect name for this beauty! Two coats and this polish was opaque, and though it dries to a slightly matte finish, one coat of topcoat did the trick.

I really am overjoyed by this polish :D it's such a happy color!

Orly polishes can oftern be found at mass retail/drug stores, but I found this particular Happy Go Lucky collection at Sally Beauty Supply for $5.99/bottle.

Maybelline Express Finish - Cool Couture

Good Mornin and happy Sunday!

Today I have for you a polish I was LEMMING after for the longest time after seeing it on bellow blogs. After some hunting, I finally got it! *Jumps up & down!* I bring to you, Cool Couture!

Cool Couture is a dusty blue/grey with a teal shimmer woven throughout. I'm starting to really love hidden shimmers, there's so much more than meets the eye! (....had to throw in the Transformers reference...:P) CC is from Maybelline's Fall Runway 2011 collection. To be honest, I usually don't like new Maybelline polishes. I love the old(er) ones so much more! They were so much more unique than those of late. But this one really caught my eye! This is two coats.
If You ladies are lemming after this color like me, I found this display at Rite Aid, But I'm sure it can be found at other drugstores/mass chains nationwide. I paid $4.15, though prices may vary.

China Glaze - Flying Dragon

Hello again ladies!

Today I have for you a great polish I got in a swap from my wonderful friend Amanda at The Nail Polish Enthusiast, and she couldn't have made better choice for me!
Flying Dragon is a neon purple polish with bright pink shimmer woven throughout and cobalt blue glitter that came out in their INK collection. Before you check out pics, please note that they were taken at night with flash first, and without.

                                      With Flash

I cannot express to you how flattering this color is on me and how much I love it with my complexion! If I ever see it again, I'm buyin a backup!
This polish really scared me at first. When applied, it dries MATTE and dark as can be. Instead of panicking, I whipped out my trusty Seche Vite and applied two coats! Viola! Perfection! This one's on the top of my favorite purples list!

Funky Fingers - Sand & Stilettos

TGIF, ladies!

Everyone like my new blog layout? It's taken me FOREVER and I think three different layouts/templates to get it right! I LOVE it now! :D

Today's polish I got from FiveBelow, and can I just tell you I have found some AMAZING holo glitters from there lately? If you have one by you, snatch em up! The first one I want to share with you is Sand & Stilettos. before I show you the pics, MAN is it hard to show chunky holo glitter in a photo!!! I had to shoot them out of focus just to let you see the awesome rainbow holo effects!

Isn't it puuuuurdy??? :P I love all the colors! Definitely one of those polishes that con distract you while driving for sure! hehe This is one coat over a light pink creme.

Two great things about Funky Fingers? Great color selection and they're $2/bottle, 3/$5. Who could pass that up? You shouldn't!

Zoya - Dree from the Smoke Collection

Good Mornin!

Today I have for you one of the polishes from the Zoya collection this fall. They came out with two sets of polishes, Smokes (cremes) and Mirrors (shimmers). I have a few from each, and this one is Dree from the Smoke side!
When I first saw the promos for the fall lines coming out, I knew I really wanted a nice fall green polish! I was torn between Dree and Westside Warrior from the China Glaze Metro collection. Then Zoya had their Buy 1, Get 2 free offer and I couldn't pass it up! And I don't regret it one bit! Two coats was all Dree needed and I was left with an awesome olive/army green creme that cured my lemming!
Zoya polishes can be purchased at www.zoya.com for $8/bottle

Vintage Zoya Polishes!

Well hey ladies!

Excuse me while I do a happy dance! *proceeds to do a jig* I am so excited to share with you my new additions - VINTAGE ZOYAS! First the story, then the amazing little beauties!

As I have mentioned before, the fiance and I are moving from Cleveland to Virginia Beach in September. We have been keeping our eyes open for things we need at garage sales. We saw a dog cage that we needed and pulled in. As I'm browsing, my eyes falling upon a counter covered in knick-knacks, and to me amazement, amongst them these Zoya polishes! I couldn't believe it! *Que epic music in the back ground* There were a few more than the five I got, but usage & age had rendered them useless. Couldn't even open them. These were perfect. Just waiting for me. And only a buck for all five! Now to be amazed..... :P PS - Only two had stickers with the names on them, the rest are unnamed. *

*The wonderful Zoya Nail Polish Fairies (as they call themselves) did some digging and were awsome enough to find out the rest the names for me!!! All have been named accordingly!:) Thank you soooo much, Zoya! <3

                                               Matta Harri

So, I know you're supposed to save the best for last. I just couldn't do it! I mean just look at this polish, LOOK AT IT! Other than fellow bloggers who have come across vintage Zoyas, I haven's heard/seen very much information on the vintage botttles. The lady who sold them to me said they were from when she owned a beauty salon in the 90's so I'm going to guess they're about that old.

Matta Harri is an AMAZING chrome! Blackened silver, two coater, great formula after all the years. Some things never go out of style. A good chrome is one of them. I'll be using MH again and again and again.

                                                             Isabelle
I'm so torn with with polish! This color is just so awful with my complexion! Very pretty nude creme in the bottle and probable on someone else, but I thought it made me look sickly. Other than that, a little on the runny side, needed three coats for full coverage.

                                                        Claudette

I love this polish! I'm a sucker for a good jelly AND I love anything in the coral/orange family. It was wonderful. Three coats, but I like my jellys usually with three. Wonderful summer color, and I thought it really warmed up my skin tone. Bonus? No topcoat needed. So juicy!

                                                   Paloma
Paloma, Paloma, Paloma. *shakes head* I've got a few bones to pick with you. First, the color. VERY 90's. Frosts were the IT colors back then! Now and days it's harder to make them work. I can let that slide though. What I can't let slide is that this was hands down the wateriest formula I've ever used. This was four coats and still didn't get to the opacity I wanted. Least favorite of the group.

Melinda

Oh, Unnamed purple chrome, you rock my socks off! Color - amazing, dark chrome purple. Application - two coats. Formula - on point. This and Matta Harri and fabulous chromes. The fact that they are as old as they are and still pack a punch says so much for Zoya's quality.

Final thoughts:
I still can't believe I came across these. WHAT A FIND! I still can't believe after all these years the quality is still there. Not one was dried up/ brush unmanageable/ drying or finish issues. That says SO MUCH about Zoya as a brand. Investment pieces in your stash for sure! Plus the fact that back then the formula was toluene and formaldehyde free rocks! If anyone can help provide and exact info on these polishes, (names, years, etc) Please share! Hope you all got a kick out of these! <3

OPI - Ya'll come back ya hear?

Hello ladies!

Question - who doesn't love a great jelly polish? That's right - NO ONE! :P Since diving into the world of nail polish I've learned that I love nothing more than a yummy, juicy jelly polish. And this polish sure cured my craving!
Ya'll Come back ya hear was released in the OPI Texas Collection released this summer. There were many jelly beauties, but this one really caught my eye on my friend Rie's blog. Had to have it. Wasn't an option.
I used three coats for this watery bright orange polish. I really need to keep my eyes open for the rest of the collection too, they all look great!

Confetti - Moonstruck

Happy Monday!.......I guess...ugh.... :P

Today I have for you a polish from what I consider to be CVS/Pharmacy's version of Sinful Colors. Affordable and a large color range. I won't lie, some of Confetti's colors can be a miss, but I've quite a few that are for sure a HIT! One of them is Moonstruck, a beautiful brown/purple creme almost leaning on the grey side. I love this shade, a great fall color!

I really enjoyed the application of this color. As I said before, Confetti's can be either hit or miss, and from experience, CHECK THE BRUSH BEFORE YOU BUY! Back when they were on sale for $1/piece, I had to return two of six due to misshapen brushes. This one was perfect though, and it reached full opacity after two coats!

Confetti colors are sold exclusively at CVS/Pharmcy for $1.99/pop, although they often have a sale for $1. If there's a color trend out there you've been itching to try this would be the way to go!

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Square Pants

Happy Sunday!

Today I finally get to show you a polish I've been waiting to get, RBL Square Pants! Ever since I got Bikini Bottom and fell in love, I knew I wanted Square Pants & Starfish Patrick. Well......I waited way too long to buy Patrick and now he's sold out. :*( Hopefully we can bring him back, and until then I have this sunny polish to share with you!

SP is a sheer jelly polish like Bikini Bottom, although BB has a watery finish, while SP had a slight shimmer, although I needed four coats to reach the opacity that I wanted. Like BB, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish!
It's a great summer polish for sure! Pastel yellows can be SO tricky for coverage, but when it's a sheer beauty it's flawless! My RBL's are my babies, so here's some more pics! ;)

My wish list for RBL is a mile long, and trust me from my experience with Sparfish Patrick, if you want a polish snatch it up before it RIP's!

RBL polishes are pricey, but the colors are amazing, application is flawless, and they wear like iron. Seriously, they are one of the brands on the tippy-top of my fave list!
